Ink Publishing heads into Asia with Tiger Airways inflight magazine win Monday 15 August 2005 PDF Print Press information For immediate release 15th August 2005 Ink Publishing heads into Asia with Tiger Airways inflight magazine win (Singapore) Ink Publishing is expanding its fast-growing operations to Asia with the announcement that it has landed another inflight magazine contract. The London-headquartered publisher already produces more inflight magazines than any other company in the world, as well as a range of specialist business and travel magazines. Now it has added the inflight publication for fast-growing low cost carrier Tiger Airways to its burgeoning portfolio. The announcement coincides with the opening of an Ink Publishing office in Singapore to complement its European and North American operations. Jeffrey O’Rourke, Chief Executive of Ink Publishing, said: “Once again we faced local competition to win the opportunity to publish Tiger Airways’ inflight magazine. It is a significant addition to our portfolio and reinforces Ink Publishing’s position as a leading international publisher with global capabilities. “It’s especially pleasing because opening our Singapore office gives us a strong foothold in Asia and makes us the first and only inflight publisher to be able to deliver on a truly global scale. This development forms part of our continued expansion and our commitment to offer international career opportunities for our growing team.” Tiger Airways, whose shareholders include Singapore Airlines, took to the air in September 2004. Based at Singapore’s Changi International Airport, the airline now serves ten cities in six Asian countries – Singapore, Thailand, Macau, Vietnam, Philippines and Indonesia – with a fleet of new Airbus A320 aircraft. The magazine, which carries lifestyle, destination and business features to reflect the diversity of Tiger Airways’ young and affluent travellers, will reach 700,000 readers per quarter. "We are very pleased to reach yet another milestone in our carrier's expansion of service offerings. The Tiger Airways in-flight magazine is another benefit for savvy travellers already enjoying our consistent low fares, secure and safe flights and on-time arrivals and departures," said Tony Davis, CEO, Tiger Airways. # ENDS # Editor's notes: About Ink Publishing Ink Publishing is a fast growing, international publishing company which produces inflight magazines for more airlines than any other publisher in the world.
