Chris Clabaugh brings proven market development experience to help Kabira execute on customer demand for high performance, low cost transaction systems

San Mateo, CA – April 10, 2007 – Kabira Technologies Inc., a leader in high performance transaction processing software for global enterprises, today announced the appointment of Chris Clabaugh as vice president of business development. Having served in senior market development positions at high technology companies including CollabNet and Progress Software, and named among the nation’s top 100 channel executives, Clabaugh is expected to develop and expand Kabira’s reach in the financial services, telecommunications, mobile payments, and on-line exchange industries.

Clabaugh’s arrival is driven by Kabira’s successful launch of the Kabira Payment Suite™, a new family of software products that provides the payments industry low cost, configurable transaction acquiring, switching, and real-time processing of electronic payments. Kabira Payment Suite is the first in a series of solutions Kabira will bring to market as it aligns its unique strengths in high volume transaction processing software and the rapidly accelerating needs of real-time, always-on business models.

Prior to Kabira, Clabaugh was VP of Business Development for CollabNet, and where he oversaw their global channel partner program and launched their on-demand training and e-commerce site, open.collab.net; other tasks included formulating the strategies for strategic relationships, and inside sales, and Asia-Pacific operations. Prior to joining CollabNet, he was VP of Application Partner Market Development for Progress Software. In this role, he directed the overall vision, direction, programs, and forward-looking strategies designed to dramatically increase the success of Progress Application Partners. Previously, he was co-founder and CEO of Allegrix, Inc., which was acquired by Progress Software in 2001.

Chris has a BS in Computer Science from Tulane University with graduate studies in technical management at the University of California at Irvine.
