Leading workflow developer demonstrates support for Microsoft apps

K2, the provider of workflow and business process application solutions, will showcase its forthcoming platform, "BlackPearl" and its support of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS), at the Internet World exhibition, Earls Court, London 1-3 May.

"BlackPearl" gives stakeholders – developers and business users – the ability to design, build and manage business process applications. The K2 platform leverages existing software investments; and when coupled with MOSS, "BlackPearl" adds rich capabilities for fostering collaboration and managing unstructured content and corporate information.

"K2 is delighted to be supporting Microsoft on ther ECM pavilion at Internet World," said Ruan Scott, K2 vice president for EMEA. "MOSS has become a widely adopted technology by many organisations across Europe, and K2 is very excited about the enhanced functionality that "BlackPearl" will be able to provide to this great platform."

Rob Gray, Microsoft SharePoint Marketing Manager, said: "We are extremely pleased to have K2 presenting and exhibiting alongside Microsoft. K2's BlackPearl product aligns well to our "People Ready" theme – effectively enabling SharePoint end users to create very powerful custom workflows without having to be Microsoft Visual Studio experts."

"BlackPearl" wizards – step-by-step dialogues – guide the application designer through the entire process, with no code necessary, allowing even non-technical business users to design and build the applications they envision.

K2 will present "BlackPearl" at the exhibition alongside Microsoft in the ECM SharePoint Pavilion.

Internet World is Europe's largest gathering of internet solutions and expertise. Keynote addresses will include Google, Channel 4, BBC, Bebo, IKEA, Sainsbury's, Yahoo! Europe, Aol, Vodafone, John Lewis, and Six Apart.
