AN INTERACTIVE SERVICE that is set to change the face of estate agencies has been launched.

Exceptional Homes,( the brainchild of a former city broker, will use a revolutionary software package to recreate the viewing experience, and transform one-dimensional photo brochures to three-dimensional tours at the click of a button.

The company, which will target the £1m plus market in London and the Home Counties, will be the first agency of its kind to use the technology and could spark the beginning of the end of the high street estate agency.

With time increasingly becoming a luxury for business professionals, the new service will allow house-hunters to view a series of potential pads without ever setting foot outside the comfort of their living room.

Among the many features of the computer-driven software will be a custom-design section that will enable buyers to add a variety of interior finishes to rooms to help find the home that’s right for them.

Exceptional Homes will be the first to only charge a one per cent sell-on fee. With the market average being 2.5 per cent, the savings through selling with Exceptional Homes on a £1m property alone will be £15,000.

Managing Director Jeremy Howard said: “I will be offering a Maxjet-style service that combines higher quality at a reduced cost. We want to show our customers that the money they spend is going on their home, and not helping to finance a fleet of liveried sales cars.”

The exclusive properties, which will range from exclusive apartments to country estates, will all be profiled in the interactive format.

Mr Howard, 38, stated he had chosen to launch the service after seeing how much he was being charged over £60,000 to sell his own central London property.

“When I tried to sell my home a few years ago I was shocked by the huge fee that a well-known agency was commanding. Given the level of service they were offering and the small amount of work required, the figure was totally unjustified. At Exceptional Homes we’re hoping to put an end to this. We are offering an open and honest service which will give home sellers confidence that they are getting value for money.”
