Finding out what’s on and where to go with children in your local area isn’t easy, in fact quite often parents give up out of sheer frustration and instead rely on recommendation or luck. However, for a lot of mums and dads this isn’t the answer as they need to plan in advance and make sure that the time they spend with their children isn’t wasted.

A new eye-catching magazine called Raring2go! aims to bridge this gap by packing its colourful pages with information about local events and services for kids aged 0-9, as well as seasonal articles and features. Originally the idea of mum of two, Sally Frost, the resulting glossy, A5 sized, quarterly magazine is now published in over 100 towns and areas across Britain with new places added to the list on a weekly basis.

The magazine contains a mix of adverts, offers and competitions plus editorial feature content – also available online at Each Raring2go! magazine is compiled locally and is delivered free to parents or carers through school book bags etc, and distributed through meeting points such as libraries, nurseries, play groups, leisure centres, play centres and doctors surgeries.

The people who produce Raring2go! are local mums and dads who really understand the benefits of the magazine and website from a parent’s perspective as well as the value they offer the local community as a whole – from small businesses to schools, community centres and village fetes who want to promote themselves to local families, who in turn want to use local and stay local.

It’s easy to get a local school or meeting place put on the distribution list. Just call 0121 765 5550 and speak to Trish or Paul at raring2go! to register your details.
