Eurostop, a leading supplier of retail systems to the fashion, footwear, jewellery and general merchandise sector will be demonstrating its new ‘ready-to-go’ e-Commerce solution, along with live sales and live stock. The new e-commerce solution has been designed for independent retailers that may otherwise struggle to find the resources to run a transactional online store, as well their regular business. WinRMIS, Eurostop’s retail management system and WinPOS, its EPOS system, are now able to process sales and stock information in real time, enabling retailers to see a true representation of their business at any time.

As sales are taken at the tills or online via a website, the information is sent immediately to head office via the ADSL link where the sales data is processed and new stock totals calculated. Typically most systems update company-wide sales and stock figures over night. This new real time functionality enables Eurostop customers to react quickly to sales performance of new products, so that they can replenish quickly to meet demand, they can react to the uplift in sales from promotions, and to markdowns. The system also allows retailers to run an auto- replenishment routine to ensure that target stocks are maintained.

Eurostop’s e-commerce solution is fully integrated with the other systems. This brings huge economies both when setting up the new website and with ongoing management. Once product details are set up in the head office system WinRMIS, they can be published on the website via user defined parameters, for instance publish selected items with specific colour and sizes and remove any items with less than five in stock. The real time processing for sales and stock data means that the online store is able to draw from the same stock pool as the bricks and mortar stores, without any fear of over selling.

Eurostop provides a range of designs and layouts incorporating the retailer’s own branding and a free refresh or make-over is included. The site can be maintained by the customer with only a few hours training so that text and images may be updated regularly.

The system will include all the customer service functionality that consumers have grown to expect from the large online retailers, like automated order acknowledgements, notification of order despatch. It will also include some more personalised customer service features like enabling retailers to publish new season stocks ahead of delivery so that customers can reserve pieces they like, and be alerted once they are in stock. Customer loyalty data will be shared between the branches and the online store, so that people that purchase both online and in store receive personalised correspondence rather than disparate, impersonal mailings with lots of different special offers and promotions.

The new e-commerce solution, which is hosted by Eurostop, is available to purchase or as part of a rental agreement.
