Company Displays Performance, Value and Expandability with Award-winning 3ware 9650SE RAID Controllers, the 3ware Sidecar, and soon-to-be Released SAS RAID Controllers

Attendees at this week’s Computex Taipei, Taipei’s international computing show, will note an emphasis on digital storage as the show emphasizes emerging storage technologies. Applied Micro Circuits Corporation (AMCC) will promote its innovative hardware RAID storage products for environments ranging from the desktop to the data center.

AMCC will highlight industry leading 3ware® RAID 5 and RAID 6 performance with its 9650SE RAID controllers in the 3ware customer suite at the nearby Agora Garden Hotel. AMCC representatives will also focus on up-and-coming storage technologies including Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) and preview 3ware SAS controllers. Visitors to the suite will also see the 3ware Sidecar, the preeminent external RAID storage expansion system for prosumers working in Windows®, Linux®, and Mac® environments.

The 3ware customer suite will be dedicated to the following products:

3ware 9650SE hardware RAID controller: The 3ware 9650SE represents the industry’s broadest line of PCI Express to SATA II controllers with 2- to 24-port models. It delivers RAID 6 throughput speeds up to 300 percent faster than competing controllers.

Serial Attached SCSI: AMCC will speak about the benefits of SAS implementations for IT managers who demand controller performance and more expandable system configurations for their mission-critical applications. Visitors will get a sneak peak at AMCC’s line of 3ware SAS controllers, to be released later this year.

3ware Sidecar: The 3ware Sidecar is a PCI Express external SATA II RAID storage system offering unmatched data protection for prosumers, creative professionals, and small businesses. It features expanded OS support for Windows, Linux, and Mac applications. The 3ware Sidecar offers desktop storage capacities of up to three terabytes and RAID 5 write and read speeds up to 200MB per second.
