Platform enables real-time control of subscriber creation, fraud detection, crediting, rating, revenue control and SIM cards, branding, marketing and customer care operations

11 June 2007 - Artilium, a provider of Service Delivery Platforms (SDP) for telecom companies, and Atos Origin, an international IT services company, today announced the global launch of a new solution for the telco market, a hosted MVNO/MVNE (MVNx) service delivery platform. Atos Origin is utilising the technology of Artilium to offer Mobile Virtual Network Operators and Mobile Virtual Network Enablers (MVNO and MVNE) a ‘future-proof’ step-in platform for hosted telecom services. Atos Origin will be present at the MVNO World Congress taking place in Berlin from 12 – 14 June 2007.

This new solution combines Artilium’s proven telecom network and IT knowledge with Atos Origin’s expertise in the prepaid and e-payment market via Atos Worldline, an Atos Origin company. The hosted service platform represents a powerful and modular solution offering the complete range of real time voice and data network services, coupled with prepaid/post-paid management and the CRM tools required for a multi-community, multi-brand and multi-reseller approach. This solution is future proof and modular meaning that it can be easily adapted to new functionalities.

Erik Munk Koefoed, Executive Vice President at Atos Worldline stated: “We have selected Artilium to offer a technologically strong solution that prepare MVNO and MVNE’s for the challenges of the future. The worldwide MVNx market, related local regulations and network specifics continuously change. With this new offering that is part of our telecom portfolio Atos Origin is able to offer a future-proof hosted service in order to optimize the Total-Cost-of-Ownership and shorten time-to-market“.

Robert Marcus, Chief Executive Officer of Artilium, concluded: “Working together with Atos Worldline allows us to extend our proven platform to a broad range of customers seeking a pay-as-you-grow model. With a customer base that includes MVNOs, MVNEs and MNOs, Artilium has extensive experience in understanding in the key drivers of success in the VNO marketplace – rapid deployment, real-time controls and flexibility for sales and marketing.”

Atos Origin’s turnover in the telecoms industry is close to €1 billion. It delivers consulting (through Atos Consulting), systems integration and outsourcing expertise to 350 customers around the world, including major telecom operators in Europe such as France Telecom, KPN, Telecom Italia and Vodafone.
