Simon has won ‘The Apprentice’ but Kristina is no loser. That is the clear opinion of leading job search engine,*, that has been running a vote-for-the-winner competition over the last few weeks.

1Job, who are a lead sponsor of the ‘The Apprentice Magazine’ that accompanies the BBC’s show said, “In our competition Kristina had gained over 80% of the vote over Simon, she is clearly the most popular candidate and it is a real shame that she did not win.”

Kristina, born in Wicklow near Dublin had tremendous Irish support, and Julian Felstead MD of, was invited onto Dublin’s popular radio station ‘Country Mix’ on Wednesday morning, prior to the final of the show. Julian said, “I was invited onto the Country Mix to discuss the high level of voting Kristina had been receiving. It is clear a lot of people, especially in Ireland, will be very disappointed with the result.”

Julian also commented, “ In my personal view, there must be thousands of companies who would employ her. She was great in all the challenges set by Sir Alan. She is shrewd, strong, decisive and well organised, and she appears to have a very positive and friendly personality.”

On the BBC2’s ‘The Apprentice Your Hired’ Kristina was seen as a gallant and honourable loser - if you can call her that, perhaps she should be referred to as the “almost-winner” or “near winner” of ‘The Apprentice’ instead.

Sir Alan decided to hire Simon, saying: "Bloody fool as I am, I'm going to take that risk. Simon, you're hired."

We must all be left wondering if Sir Alan has picked the right candidate? Also what would have happened if Katie had not quit the week before. Simon definetly looked in the firing line that week, and if that had happened surely Kristina would have gone on to win against Katie?”
