London, England – 18th June 2007 – Venda Ltd, the leading global provider of on-demand eCommerce solutions, is the power behind the newly launched De Beers transactional web site and includes sites in US, UK and Japan.

De Beers is probably one of the world’s best known diamond jewellery retailers and prides itself on ensuring that every diamond in De Beers Diamond Jewellery is conflict-free (1) and child labour free.

The US site is De Beers’ first foray into online commerce and will offer a wide range of the company’s product line, including its well known bridal range and Tallisman Collection.

The eCommerce site went live on 4th June and includes Venda ImageWare (2) which allows the customer to zoom in on specific parts of the jewellery as well as rotate it 360 degrees. Dynamic navigation on the site ensures that a visitor can carry out specific searches and narrow those down by product, price, gold colour and carat.

Dan Wagner, Chairman and CEO of Venda Ltd, said: “We are thrilled and delighted to have added de Beers on our already impressive client list. Venda’s experience not only in generating improved revenue streams for our clients but also increasing brand awareness as part of the overall marketing strategy, made the two companies natural companions. I am personally also pleased to have such an ethical company as part of the Venda stable of clients.”

Neal Sussman, Marketing Director of De Beers, said: “The US site is our first transactional site. Whilst we have previously had an online presence, we fully anticipate that the De Beers site will enable us to achieve our two main aims: generate revenue online and increase footfall in our retail locations.”

(1) Conflict diamonds are rough, uncut diamonds used by rebel movements or their allies to finance armed conflict aimed at undermining legitimate governments. In addition, The De Beers Group has been working with governments through the United Nations and other international organizations to ensure that future conflicts cannot be funded in this way, and the De Beers Group was instrumental in creating the World Diamond Council to represent the international diamond and jewellery industry in the Kimberley Process.

(2) Venda ImageWare™ is a web based viewer for high resolution images. It allows site visitors to magnify images or image sections and view objects from different viewing angles or in different states.
