Summit Spirit and Technology sees company doubling in size in last 12 months

Yorkshire – June 21st, 2007 – Summit Media announces it has increased turnover to £10 million in the last financial year and is on track to exceed its goal of £15 million this year. To support this growth it has opened its European Headquarters in Prague. As one of the UK’s top ten Internet marketing and ecommerce platforms provider, Summit Media takes a holistic approach to online communications assisting clients at every point in their customers’ user journey from click to conversion.

Summit believes its success is due to its unique Summit Spirit combined with its technology solutions. This passion is the core of Summit’s culture and has fuelled the growth of the business which consistently delivers online results time and again for some of the UK’s largest brands. These customers have openly embraced the Summit approach to life and work which has resulted in Summit being voted number one agency for delivering ROI by readers of Revolution Magazine.

Summit Media started life in two prisons with the aim of providing a fantastic training opportunity for prisoners with a passion to learn a new skill and gain a job on release. This has now rolled out and Summit currently employs 45 people within the prison and 60 outside in in its four media centres, three in the UK and the new European Technology Centre in Prague.

Recent customers include Argos and 3 Mobile, all of which needed their online presence to provide a strong revenue channel as Ryan Thomas, general manager, Kitchenscience.co.uk and Laskys, explains: “We were looking for a strong partner to help us create the best solution for our online store. Summit Media delivered exactly what we needed. Since moving to their ecommerce platform we have seen our conversion rate significantly increase. This has led to us being nominated for the Website Effectiveness award in the retail category of the New Media Age Awards. As well as this they have also provided us with a brilliant service throughout and the team at Summit have really been a real pleasure to work with.”

Hedley Aylott, Managing Director of Summit Media, comments: “Offering a real service is still a huge problem for many companies. Too many are happy to deliver a ‘click’ but take little or no responsibility for what happens next. We look to push our clients thinking and performance to new levels. Summit works in a way that makes it easy for all of our clients and prospective clients to interact with us.
