~ the Corsa Guide to Getting a (Second) Life maps out

the hottest spots in the virtual world~

Irish pubs, surfing spots and a forest where humans can dress up as animals are some of the most fun places to visit in Second Life (www.secondlife.com), the internet-based virtual world.

This is according to Vauxhall Corsa which has published the online Corsa Guide to Getting a (Second) Life (www.corsaguide.co.uk) – the first handbook for in-world fun voted for by the residents themselves.

Shelley Perkins, at Vauxhall Corsa, known as Shelley Soderstrom in-world, said “Second Life is a huge world with lots of fun to be had and we’ve worked with the community to pinpoint some of the best. Our guide is designed to help people find the best places to go in-world and its been put together by the most credible authority we could think of - the users themselves.”

The winning site, Luskwood, is a community of ‘furrys’ – residents that like to express themselves by dressing up as animals, chatting and partying in a beautiful forest-themed area. It’s a place to relax, escape and party. Luskwood will be receiving a prize of 5,000 Lindens (the Second Life currency).

Eltee Statosky at Luskwood said, “We really enjoyed being a part of the Corsa Guide to Getting a (Second) Life, and its great to know that the years we've spent building Luskwood as a relaxing natural themed social area have been recognized by the residents of Second Life. We are a community where people are encouraged to relax, make and meet new friends, and enjoy themselves in our park-like area.”
