11th July 2007 - When the threat of safety in travel was once again breached at Glasgow airport the industry held its breath to see how bookings would be affected. With stress levels and incidents at their highest travelling abroad has been likened by some as a lottery.

The fall out can be substantial and it’s not getting any better. The number of incidents and claims is rising and as always only the lawyers are winning.

A recent poll of travellers reveals the change in attitude and awareness when going abroad. 87% quoted safety and security as their first concern. But when asked what they would do if a problem occurred while abroad 80% said they had no idea.
