The UK’s leading supplier of Intranet solutions for Housing Associations, Odyssey Interactive Ltd, will examine how Housing Associations and RSLs can gain the Intranet Advantage and help ensure their Intranet delivers proven efficiency gains as well as improved service delivery and productivity.

The seminar is being held on 16 October 2007 and is titled “Harnessing the benefits of Intranets in Housing Associations” The seminar is designed for IT, Internal Communications and HR professionals in Housing Associations and RSLs and will give delegates an opportunity to see how intranets can reduce costs and streamline processes such as document management.

Housing Associations have a vast range of information to communicate to their staff, as well as numerous paper based processes which can often become expensive and time consuming. If used to their full potential, intranets can be the keystone of an organisation and should be the central store of all business information and the jump-off point to the applications and databases users need to access on a regular basis as well as a link to housing management systems.

Johnathan Briggs, Founder and Managing Director of Odyssey Interactive Ltd, commented:

“We have extensive experience in implementing intranets to meet the particular requirements of Housing Associations, and this seminar will give delegates the opportunity to find out how other Associations are realising tangible benefits from their intranets. They will learn how intranets can give them the power to manage in new ways and create an intranet that can be used not only as a communication tool but as a broader productivity tool that includes more process-specific business applications and management tools”

Delegates attending this Seminar will find out how:

• To use the intranet as a productivity and collaboration tool

• South Liverpool Housing developed their intranet to be used as the hub of new information and communication as part of their improvement programme which saw them go from a zero star to a 2 star organisation.

• The Intranet can be the keystone of content and document management

• How the intranet can help with Audit Commission Inspections

The experts speaking at the Seminar are:

Matt McCourty, Intranet Consultant (Social Housing Sector) Odyssey Interactive Ltd

Matt will look at how Housing Associations can benefit from their intranets being the keystone of content and document management and help them achieve costs savings, efficiency gains and improved communications.

Colin Arnold, Head of ICT, South Liverpool Housing

SLH is the only Housing Association in the country to have leapt from zero star rating with uncertain prospects for improvements to two stars with promising prospects in the two years between inspections. Colin talks about how their intranet ‘The Grapevine’ is used as the hub of new information and communication contributing to this success.

Johnathan Briggs, Founder and Managing Director of Odyssey Interactive Ltd.

Johnathan will present an overview of the features of Interact Intranet Housing Edition and demonstrate how it is delivering proven efficiency gains to RLS and Housing Associations throughout the UK and helping improve productivity and service delivery.

The Seminar will be held from 10am to 1pm at the National Housing Federation’s Conference Centre, Lion Court in Holborn, on 16 October 2007.
