BeCrypt’s established CESG certification products becomingly rapidly sought after for equipment manufacturers and suppliers to the Defence sector

BeCrypt, a leading supplier of data protection and encryption products has appointed Steve Rogers, highly experienced in Channel Sales, to further develop its position in the Defence Contractors Market. Rogers joins BeCrypt from Fortress Technologies (a Wireless security and encryption vendor), where he held the position of Director of Channel Sales and Business Development for over three years. Following successful joint sales projects with BAE, Siemens Networks, Fujitsu Services and Selex Communications, he brings with him proven knowledge and expertise of suppliers to the Defence Sector.

Educated in the UK, Rogers has over ten years’ experience specifically in the IT industry, both in the UK and US, having worked for Certiport Inc (Microsoft’s global partner contracted to sell its Office Specialist certification program) for four years, prior to Fortress. Before joining Certiport, Rogers was General Sales Manager for Pitman Training, a Commercial IT Training Centre. His early career demonstrated his sales expertise and resulted in him becoming Commercial Director for a leading DIY importer and Distributor.

On his new appointment, Rogers commented, “Having worked for Fortress, an encryption vendor, for a number of years, I have been impressed by the fact that BeCrypt is always spoken of very highly by both customers and others in the industry. It has an excellent name already in the defence market, particularly with its CESG certification products, and I am looking forward to opening up new opportunities with established Defence Contractors, expanding the channels to market.”

Richard Brooks, Director of Sales EMEA at BeCrypt said: ”This is an exciting time for BeCrypt. Over the last few years we have grown rapidly to become an established vendor in the data

security solutions market. We are expanding our sales team to meet the challenges as we grow, both in opening up new channels and meeting the demands for data security as workforces are becoming increasingly more mobile and enterprises are looking to safeguard their data. We see Steve’s appointment as a demonstration of our commitment to the Defence Contractors market. As BeCrypt’s products are already used throughout the Ministry of Defence, this is a very important market for us, and we are well positioned to provide them with the solutions that they need to meet the strict data security requirements applied when working with the MOD.”
