Version 7 Adopted Across Government, Higher Education, and Utilities Industries

London, UK July 31st, 2007 – Actuate Corporation (NASDAQ: ACTU), the leader in Business Intelligence, Performance Management and Reporting Applications, today announced that version 7 of the Actuate Performancesoft Suite has added 283 customers worldwide to its customer base in areas across the public sector including 94 Local Government and Government Services organisations, amongst them Councils, Police Forces, Fire and Rescue Services, Primary Care Trusts and Strategic Health Authorities. The company’s flagship Performance Management offering, which comprises the long established Views, Track and the recently released BI products, delivers comprehensive Performance and Activity Management as well as fully integrated enterprise reporting.

The Suite’s ability to help communicate strategic objectives throughout an organisation and link operational performance measures to strategy for improved alignment has earned it wide adoption as well as recent accolades such as Santa Clara Valley Water District receiving the ‘Sharing the Silver’ Award in the US, and Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service’s commendation from the UK Audit Commission for ‘the Best Audit and Performance Management system within the fire service in England’.

Version 7 of Actuate Performancesoft Suite has been built around real-world requirements, providing the features and functionality that organisations need to take their Performance Management initiatives to the next level. Version 7 offers all standard accessibility features including support for Section 508 of the US' Rehabilitation Act Compliance and UK’s e-Government Interoperability Framework (eGIF). In addition the suite delivers comprehensive international language support in languages such as French, German and Arabic.
