Christopher Ward watches ( are a brand-in-waiting – ripe for discovery by those who know the very best craftsmanship when they see it, but don’t want to pay the earth. This watch specialist has long been one of the UK’s best-kept secrets, and now, like MI6… its just gone public. You won’t find them in any high street instead their watches are ONLY available from Christopher Ward himself, via their website,

The NEW Kingfisher Diver Pro (RRP ranging from £135 to £155) is the latest addition to the Christopher Ward collection. With time a critical factor in any dive, professional divers and style gurus alike, can rely on this beauty for split-second accuracy. With Swiss Ronda calibre 715 movement and water resistance for dives up to an astonishing 300m, as well as a 2-piece uni-directional bezel and Superluminova markings; and not forgetting one of the world’s first engraved No Decompression Limit Table on the screw-down case back, this is THE ultimate divers’ watch, with handsome good looks that, once on dry land, will attract all of the right attention.

Christopher Ward himself is a fanatical scuba-diver, as is Philip, their Swiss trained manufacturing partner, so you can imagine how important an addition to the Christopher Ward collection this watch is.

And when a diver who dived with the Mary Rose team decides to wear this particular diver’s watch, you know it’s going to be the best!

Ant Sloan, ex-Royal Navy underwater bomb disposal and now a professional salvage and industrial diver, chooses to sport the new Kingfisher Diver- Pro from Christopher Ward. “The sheer quality and detail of the Kingfisher is incredible,” the “Ant” says. “This is a pedigree timepiece and answers my needs for accuracy, visibility, clarity and impact and water resistance, all of which I would expect from a high performance dive watch.”

The Kingfisher Diver- Pro is one of the first in the world to incorporate a ‘No Decompression Limit (NDL) Table’ engraved on its back. This valuable feature is designed as a back-up device for experienced divers, for use with Recreational Dive Planner Tables to ensure a safe first dive.

The NDL Table on the Kingfisher Diver- Pro gives the ‘no-stop time’ of a dive – i.e. the time at which the diver can return to the surface without having to stop for decompression – to a given depth. For example, if the planned dive is to 90ft, the table shows the no-stop time is 25 minutes.

Armed with this information, the diver can then set the watch to count down the no-stop time by using the uni-direction bezel on the watch – a great safety feature that ensures the setting cannot be accidentally altered if the watch is knocked.

The Kingfisher Diver- Pro’s 42mm case is built from solid 316L stainless steel, available in sand blasted, satin brushed or IPK finishes. The hard-wearing 4.5mm thick convex glass is made from scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, with an anti-reflective coating. The indexes, bezel markers and hands are Superluminova deep-filled to provide excellent luminous properties at depths and in low light conditions.

Maximum utility combined with optimum quality are not just the Kingfisher Diver- Pro’s only attributes. It has great style too – this watch is available with a choice of face in either, black, white and a range of vibrant ‘Kingfisher’ colours including blue, orange, and yellow.

Inside, the 5-jewel Swiss quartz movement is Ronda 715 calibre – a top quality movement. Other features include a screw-in crown and case back and date display. The fully adjustable strap is available in waterproof silicon rubber – ideal for diving, or stainless steel or luxury Italian leather for pleasure.
