SYSTRAN, the leading supplier of translation software, today announced an expanded online relationship with arvato systems, a global e-commerce solution provider. The agreement between the two companies will now extend from Europe to also cover the APAC territories.

At the beginning of 2007, SYSTRAN had expressed a business goal to grow its e-commerce business significantly and needed a partner that would provide a robust and scalable e-commerce platform, complemented by comprehensive e-marketing support. Following detailed discussions, arvato systems was then appointed as SYSTRAN’s main ESD service provider for EMEA. The working relationship has already delivered a substantial increase in online revenue and the extension of the agreement into APAC is expected to have a further significant impact.

“We are absolutely thrilled with arvato systems’ performance and are looking forward to moving into the next phase of our business relationship with them,” said Pierre Bernassau, Marketing Director EMEA, SYSTRAN. “The business relationship started when we rolled out version 6 and, compared to the same time last year, the e-commerce business has experienced significant growth. The numbers speak for themselves; it has been a great success.”

arvato systems offers ESD services on a global scale, including a very powerful e-commerce platform, digital distribution and numerous marketing and e-marketing services.

“It is important to SYSTRAN to work with flexible providers that fully support its marketing activities,” added Pierre Bernassau,. “arvato systems continues to be helpful and responsive and we’re confident that both companies will continue to benefit from this ongoing partnership.”

As a value added partner, arvato systems’ affiliated companies will provide additional services to support SYSTRAN - such as CD replication, box production and fulfilment - delivering a complete end-to-end solution.

“arvato systems works very hard to improve the bottom line for all its customers and is very proud of the impact that it has had in the market with SYSTRAN’s software,” concluded Dr. Martin Anduschus, Vice President ESD, arvato systems.
