Galliard Homes is launching one of London’s largest regeneration schemes, the transformation of a derelict 8-acre site on the waterfront in Greenwich into a vibrant community with cafés, restaurants and shops.

New Capital Quay, at the mouth of Deptford Creek, is one of the last exciting riverside schemes in London and just five minutes walk from the Cutty Sark and the historic town centre of Greenwich.

In total there will be just over 630 private residential apartments for sale. These will include one bed, two bed and three bed styles as well as duplex suites.

Prices will range from just under £300,000 to £1.5 million, with first completions due in 2011 - just in time for the nearby events at the 2012 Olympics.

Arranged over 12 blocks, many of the apartments will have river frontage as well as views towards Canary Wharf, whilst the majority will have terraces or balconies.

Also included in this landmark scheme are the following:

* A major ‘high street quality’ food mall
* Riverside bars, restaurants and cafés
* Extensive commercial space
* A range of retail outlets
* Proposal for art galleries and a new heritage museum
* An application for a footbridge spanning Deptford Creek

New Capital Quay is perfectly situated for the myriad of attractions offered by historic Greenwich including the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich Market, Royal Park, the O2 Dome and of course the Cutty Sark and the Old Royal Navy College.

In addition, the scheme is minutes away from one of the Capital’s most sophisticated transport networks – a short walk to the Cutty Sark stop on the Docklands Light Railway links residents to Canary Wharf, the City, London City Airport and mainline train service.

Stephen Conway, Managing Director of Galliard, comments: "For the past 15 years, Galliard Homes has been spearheading the regeneration of Central London.

“Schemes on the South Bank, at Butlers Wharf, Canary Wharf and the Royal Docks have all contributed to the renewal of these areas and provided excellent capital returns for investors and home-owners alike.

“This landmark development will dramatically enhance this neglected part of historic London whilst at the same time, offering exclusivity, security and unprecedented long term capital growth potential.”

New Capital Quay is being launched this weekend - Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th September - in the Millennium Hotel, Grosvenor Square, Mayfair from 10.30am.
