Manchester, UK, 4th October 2007: Stonemartin, premier provider of managed space offices, has signed 12 month leases with ENTEC and Viridis Energy to open new offices in Peter House, Manchester. ENTEC has taken 595 ft2 with space for 10 staff and Viridis has taken 213 ft2. Both site prime town centre location and professional image and services as key reasons for choosing Peter House.

ENTEC is one of the UK’s largest environmental and engineering consultancies with 800 employees and associates based in thirteen offices across the UK. ENTEC was looking for a professionally managed building in the city centre from which to better service a number of its Manchester based clients.

“Location and image were key factors,” said Simon Armes-Reardon, Managing Director, ENTEC. “We already had an office in Northwich and were looking to complement that with an office in the city centre. And, as we are currently recruiting, we also wanted a stylish office to help attract new talent to the company from the city and across the North West. Our recruitment drive is proving successfull, we have just hired our first new employee to Peter House and have additional interviews in the pipeline.

“It’s important that visitors to the office, whether they are clients or potential new employees, are presented with a professional environment. Peter House certainly delivers the right image and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating in helping us set up our new office systems,” concludes Armes-Reardon.

Also taking space in Peter House is Viridis Energy – a specialist investment management company that focuses exclusively on the clean energy infrastructure sector. Viridis invests in projects employing proven renewable, waste and other clean energy fuels and technologies in selected geographical markets, with a primary focus on Europe, North America and Australia.

For Viridis, image, professionalism and a high degree of service were all central to their decision to take space in Peter House. While Viridis is a relatively small organisation in the UK in terms of headcount, they maintain an established portfolio of proven technologies across 35 sites in the UK, subcontracting service and support to optimise the operation of those assets. With little internal resource, Viridis rely on the professional services and on-site facilities available at Peter House.

“In investment, corporate image is important,” said Rob Brannon, General Manager, UK Operations, Veridis. “Prior to moving to Peter House we operated out of another serviced office in Manchester, but were looking for a better location and more impressive facilities. We needed to maintain our city centre location and also, with just three internal employees we required a level of service and flexibility to help support our business as and when we needed.

“Peter House and its staff have lived up to our expectations and certainly convey the right image to our clients. The team is highly professional, the building and offices are well appointed, the services and facilities are excellent and the meeting rooms are all top notch. We couldn’t be happier with our choice,” concludes Brannon.

Peter House is a landmark building overlooking St. Peter's Square in Manchester's City Centre. The 100,000 sqft building offers 10 floors of office space, a major conferencing and meeting facility, together with adjoining restaurants and retail facilities.

“We are thrilled to welcome both Viridis and ENTEC to Peter House,” said Tim Worboys, Sales and Marketing Director, Stonemartin. “Manchester city centre is a great place to work and once again, the right corporate image combined with a high level of service and professionalism strike a chord with growing companies looking to make their mark in Manchester.”
