~ Chairman and Founder, Justin Floyd to speak at Attenda’s ‘Delivering software as a service’ seminar ~

Justin Floyd, Chairman and Founder, has confirmed plans to speak at the ‘Delivering Software as a Service’ event in October. The event, hosted by Attenda, takes place on Tuesday, 30th October at IBM South Bank, London and will focus on the many challenges faced by ISVs planning to adopt a SaaS model.

Subscription-based software licensing has been propelled into the limelight over the past five years, helped by the fact that broadband has become ubiquitous and hosted software provision a more mature proposition. The transition to a subscription-based licensing model is often not without pain and cost. Whether ISVs intend to abandon perpetual licence plans all together, or plan to introduce subscription-based payment plans simply as an additional option for customers, making the leap into the world of financing can be both intimidating and risky.

One of the major challenges for an ISV adopting SaaS, is the change in revenue profile from one-off licence fees to monthly recurring revenue. Software finance or software leasing, available through, provides a convenient and cost-effective alternative which enables sales teams to embrace this new model.

Commenting on the event, Simon Hansford, Attenda VP Products & Marketing says, “We are delighted that, as a market leader, are joining us in this Seminar event to show ISVs that by working with Attenda we can safeguard their future by delivering technically and operationally secure SaaS applications, and have the right partnerships in place to assist in managing the financial transition to a SaaS business model.” He continues, “Attenda is already working in partnership with several ISVs including BIW, CAPS Solutions, Service Works Global, Simplex and Staffcare to supply, manage and host their applications for delivery through a Software as a Service model.”
