Security Sales Academy training addresses both SMB and enterprise skills shortage

Chessington, Surrey - October 15th 2007 – Specialist value-added distributor, Bell Micro today announced the launch of its Security Sales Academy training initiative, dedicated to raising the number of skilled security sales people in the small-medium business (SMB) and enterprise channel. By working with Bell Micro, channel partners can benefit from developing a sustainable and profitable security business based on a firm foundation of security sales expertise, critical for maintaining healthy profit margins in this time of IT skills shortage.

Sales staff from resellers that attend the Academy will receive a one day security overview course that outlines the challenges that end users currently face and demonstrate the range of solutions that are available to address them. This introductory phase is then followed by a further two days of intensive product training at Bell Micro's Chessington facility. Here, leading security market vendors will provide training along with all necessary sales toolkits, datasheets and competitive information. As part of the Academy initiative participants will also obtain access to exclusive campaigns and offers from supporting vendors which include; Barracuda, Clearswift, IBM’s Internet Security Systems, McAfee, RSA, Secure Computing, SonicWall and Symantec.

The first Security Sales Academy opens on 5th November 2007.
