- Atia Solution’s new Welsh headquarters will support its sales and support operation in Wales and South West England

London, UK, 22nd October 2007 - Swyx a market-leading vendor of IP telephony solutions is pleased to announce that one of its most successful reseller partners, Atia Solutions Limited, is to establish a sales, support and training facility at the Gateway Building, located at the Tredomen Business Park, Tredomen. The new facility will support 8 IT jobs, a number that is set to triple within the next 12 months. The company specialises in designing, and delivering Voice over the Internet (VoIP), technology from equipment vendor Swyx to a range of SME businesses, including legal and accountancy practices, retail chains, estate agents and recruitment organisations.

VoIP, popularised by consumer products such as Skype, is the new ‘state of the art’ method for deploying telephony systems in a business. The business solutions, based on Swyx technology, operate directly from a computer and replaces outdated ‘hardware’ based systems that have remained virtually unchanged for 30 years.

Business Development Director at Atia Solutions, Patrick Copping, comments on the choice of location for the new centre, “Our company has grown rapidly over the last two years and we now have in excess of 100 customers and this is growing at a rate of 10-15 per month. One of the biggest growth areas has been in South Wales which is also one of the UK’s fastest growing regional economies. The site at Tredomen, is therefore a superb location as it not only has easy access to the main communication routes, it is in an area that attracts the right type of skilled people we need to staff and grow our business.”

The Gateway Building has won awards for its environmental design and sustainability and according to Patrick Copping this fits perfectly with the company’s green philosophy as Atia Solutions along side others, such as BSkyB, Radio Taxis, Volvo, EDF Energy, and Channel 4, is one of the first to be awarded ‘Carbon Neutral’ status.

Copping explains, “The ‘Carbon Neutral’ award was not easy to achieve, and demonstrates our long-term commitment towards sustainability. We have pledged to continually reduce our CO2 emissions and Swyx is a key part of this. Because of the software-based nature of the Swyx solution, we are able to carry out over 90% of support calls remotely, there is minimal packaging and upgrades can be downloaded as a software update. We also promote the recycling of legacy telephone equipment reducing the estimated total of 2 million phones that end up in landfill every year. The Swyx product is not only good for the environment, but also ensures a quicker response time for our customers and lower operating costs for ourselves.”

As part of its carbon neutral status, Atia is also lowering its own carbon footprint by contributing to local projects that control carbon emissions such as re-forestation.

The New facility will handle all of Atia’s operations in Wales and the South West of England including; Sales, distribution, logistics, and regional maintenance and support.
