London, October 30th 2007. Miso, the womenswear label exclusive to branded fashion retailer Republic, today announced the launch of an exclusively commissioned collection by British designer Walé Adeyemi.

The Walé Adeyemi for Miso range encompasses fourteen pieces and reflects the designer’s penchant for the cute, slinky and sassy style he traditionally has created only for the likes of celebrities and red carpet starlets.

Walé’s premier collection takes inspiration from armoured angels, and diamond dolls and key pieces are adorned with divine diamante detailing, bows. This coveted collection features backless show stoppers, with the range designed to take the wearer right through the festive party season with sheer effortlessness.

The collection will retail exclusively in selected Republic stores nationwide and online at from November 1st. Stores carrying the collection are located at: The Trafford Centre, Birmingham Bullring, Meadowhall, Manchester The Arndale Centre, Leeds, Bluewater Watford, Brent Cross, Uxbridge, Worcester, Milton Keynes, Oxford, Reading, Derby, Kingston upon Thames, Portsmouth, Middlesbrough and Ipswich.

The collaboration between Walé Adeyemi and Republic brings to a close a stunning 2007 which saw the designer raise over £100,000 for the Princes Trust, of which he serves as an Ambassador, with an accessories collection for Superdrug, as well as his recent appointment as Creative Director of Apparel for super brand New Era.

Adeyemi is stylist to some of the world’s most modern fashion icons such as Alicia Keys, Beyonce, David Beckham, Amerie, Ne-Yo and Usher, and is highly sought after by celebrities in music, fashion, and sports for his knowledge, passion, and creativity. His achievements in style and design have garnered the attention of large corporations to seek his help in reaching the UK urban markets. Brands like Caterpillar, Nokia, Martell, Slazenger, Superdrug and Sky have all collaborated with Adeyemi for his expertise and vision.

As owner of his own clothing label carrying his namesake, Adeyemi draws upon his references to create a style that is forward-looking while also paying tribute to past influences and inspirations. His Graffiti print is noted by the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, which featured Adeyemi as part of its “Moments in Black British Style” exhibition in 2005. Born in bred in London, UK where he currently resides, Adeyemi has developed somewhat of a cult following of his work.
