Munich / Amsterdam – 06 November 2007: hybris is continuing its growth course, the Product Information Management (PIM) and e-commerce expert announced today. Henk-Jan van der Weide will assume responsibility as Country Manager for the development of the sales and partner network in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. He previously worked for Intershop, a leading e-commerce and online marketing solutions provider. “I am very much looking forward to my new duties because I consider hybris to be the most ambitious and exciting company in e-commerce and PIM in Europe,” said van der Weide.

The 40 year old set up his first company, DIP, back in 1993, before selling it on in 2000, after seven successful years of growth. Two years as Country Manager at LINQ followed, one of the first companies to specialise in selling portal software. At the end of 2002 he moved to Ex’ovision, a Dutch manufacturer of IP videophone hardware, as Sales and Marketing Director. During this time, Ex’ovision expanded into more than 50 countries, acquiring prestigious customers such as Philips along the way. “hybris won the 2006 award for the best e-commerce solution for European trading. Now this network will be established in Benelux by customers and partners – a great challenge for the company and for me,” added van der Weide, a Dutchman by birth.
