Under an agreement worth around £600,000 over seven years, Northgate will provide Mansfield with a range of services aimed at streamlining the management and reporting of council tax and business rates, improving the administration of housing and council tax benefits, and providing citizens with easier access to the support that they need. The council will utilise Northgate’s technology and mobile services to speed up the benefits assessment process for citizens, and enable staff to reach out to every local community through conducting assessments in people’s homes. Mansfield will also benefit from: - instant access to customer information, from citizens to large local businesses; - the ability to view customer status and transaction history, enabling staff to answer questions quickly and accurately; - integration with electronic document management systems to deliver further efficiencies.
