Connaught House was established 14 years ago with family team Peter, Mike & Chris. Peak periods also include the 5.30-7pm slot when people are returning home from work, with fresh knowledge of products and websites they have learned from their friends and colleague at work. Chris also said that it was also a very conscious decision to make the website postage free. “Having a lot of experience of trading on eBay and Amazon, I know from the research we have gained that the postage element is a problem for many customers. In our shops we don’t charge customers for carrier bags or staff to clean shelves or display products, it would be absurd. These charges are absorbed by the price of the product. It had to be the same on the website, so no matter what a customer buys, it has the same level of service being posted out within 24 hours with no postage charge. I have heard customers saying so many times that they searched the internet for prices, and found the cheapest website but then would have to pay extra for postage making it more expensive.
