Honda Racing F1 Team selects Empirix for critical web application testing on its new web site.

BERKSHIRE, United Kingdom, 4 December 2007 – Empirix ® Inc. which helps organisations adopt complex communications solutions with confidence, was recently selected by the Honda Racing F1 Team to test access to the latest information on its website,, ensuring fans get the optimum experience when visiting the site.

The Honda Racing F1 Team is the first Formula One team to provide a dedicated racing TV channel. The site has been designed to provide the ultimate experience for any Formula One fan. It hosts sophisticated new applications; a brand new dedicated video channel, up-to-the-minute news, and the opportunity for fans to send their own images into an interactive gallery.

The news follows 2006 research published by the FIA which suggests that, apart from TV, 87 per cent of fans rely on the Internet to stay informed about what’s happening in Formula One.

In support of a move which addresses growing interest by fans to get relevant content online, the Honda Racing F1 Team has utilised Empirix eLoad Expert Services to ensure that the new website is robust enough to handle the peak traffic expected during racing weekends, and that the sophisticated applications work as planned.

How it works
Empirix eLoad Expert enabled the Honda Racing F1 Team to easily and accurately test the performance and scalability of its Website to ensure that customers would have the best possible experience. eLoad Expert simulated thousands of concurrent users, in order to analyze the performance of Web applications under typical (or peak) traffic volume, and identify any potential problems before the applications on the website went live. It also enabled the Honda Racing F1 Team to monitor the performance of back-end application infrastructure during the load test to identify bottlenecks and help further tune application performance.
