• Partners combine e-business and Web Content Management knowledge
• First joint projects already underway

Munich – 11th December 2007. As part of its Europe-wide course of expansion, hybris can now rely on an additional acclaimed partner, Mediasurface. Through partnership with Mediasurface, the Munich-based PIM and e-commerce expert is extending its solutions portfolio in Web Content Management. The combination enables convenient maintenance and management of extensive product data, descriptions and media in a variety of formats. Bringing together all this information on one platform means it can be distributed with no media gaps to integrated e-commerce and database publishing applications and so ensures that all publication channels, both online and offline, are always up-to-date.

UK-based Mediasurface employs 200 people and has for many years been active in northern and western Europe and the US. The central PIM database from hybris, which stores structured product data with numerous attributes, accesses Mediasurface’s Morello via a predefined interface. There, the unstructured information, such as text, graphics and images, is read out and fed into the online sales channel together with the structured product data. This method simplifies the management of single products and product categories, and the shared creation and editing of text and multimedia documents. Manual data management is no longer required and companies benefit not only from up-to-date, but also high-quality content.
