Paris, December 17, 2007 – Trivantis Corporation, the global provider of eLearning authoring and publishing tools has announced the rollout of the new Lectora 2008 line of software. The Lectora family of products includes Lectora Publisher and Lectora Professional Publishing Suite. Local language versions in French, German, Spanish and Swedish have already helped it to become widely adopted in over 50 countries around the world. Now a further 50 features have been added to meet the needs of both novice and experienced eLearning content developers.

“The past year has seen increasing momentum in European markets” said Simon Birt, Regional Manager Southern EMEA for Trivantis. “Trivantis stays in close touch with its European customers through its network of resellers. Many of our existing users are now creating more sophisticated eLearning content and we have stayed ahead of their needs with new top end capabilities, as well as bringing in new help tools for less experienced users.”

Andrew Nash, VP International Markets commented “Our international user community is growing rapidly as Lectora attracts new customers in Europe and its use grows within multinational organisations. Lectora is an authoring tool users can grow with as their needs evolve, whether this is for a local eLearning program or a cross-border implementation. “

Among the 50 new features found in Lectora 2008 are:

* Flash Conversion. Video, audio, and animation files are automatically compressed and converted to Flash for faster loading of content.

* Help Agents. Video tutorials instruct new users on key features for an even lower learning curve.

* Media Library. Helps users keep media files organised for faster development and enables easier collaboration for networked developers.

* Easy Access Template Gallery. More than 250 templates are labelled and categorised for quick searches and instantly availability.

* Certificate Tool. Customisable completion certificates make it easy to reward students for a successful completion of a test or course.

* Content Protection. Makes it nearly impossible for students to copy and paste content from course pages.

Lectora 2008 continues the software’s legacy of strong compliance to eLearning standards and compatibility with virtually all learning management systems. Lectora was the first authoring system to be certified as AICC Compliant and has a consistent performance record on accessibility and with SCORM and Microsoft?? LRN eLearning standards.
