London – January 21st, 2008 – itlab today announces that it has been working with Tourvest Duty Free, the provider of duty free services for Virgin Atlantic, to manage its mission critical servers with Service Obsession™. The service allows Tourvest to concentrate on its core business packing duty free trolleys for every single Virgin plane departing from the UK.

Sean Kelly, General Manager Contracts, Tourvest Duty Free, explains: “We work on a tight schedule and are contracted to ensure that every aeroplane leaves with fully stocked duty free trollies. Failure to do this has never been an option for us. We have some IT support from our headquarters in South Africa, but we needed a local provider that had the specialist knowledge to manage our network server infrastructure on site in the UK. itlab was chosen and since then has helped us maintain our 100% service success rate including a public holiday when a server crash could not be fixed remotely.

“itlab applied its Service Obsession™ and drove out to us to remedy the problem. This was then rectified in a few hours and meant we could once again meet our trolley production for the day. Planes travel 24/7 so we need our servers to be available 24/7 too in order to meet our daily packing schedule.
