Press Release: London, 13th February, 2008: Irreverent new personalised mobile video messaging service taps-in to wave of anti-Valentine’s Day sentiment.

In a week when millions of generic love-heart-adorned Valentine’s Day cards are exchanged across the country, a new mobile video messaging service – BuzzMyGoat – has seen a surge in less conventional expressions of love.

The popularity of BuzzMyGoat’s comedy Valentine’s greetings has confirmed its founder’s conviction that Valentine’s Day is no longer exclusively a time for traditional romantic expressions of love.

BuzzMyGoat’s professionally-produced comedy clips can be personalised and sent to mobile or email. The animated, live-action and puppetry videos use unique new technology which enables users to create highly customised ”Buzzes” to include, for example, the message recipient’s name.

One series of Valentine’s Day clips – featuring a female goat puppet named ‘Poonanny’ – is proving particularly popular this week. The “Buzzes” entitled ‘New Tricks’ and ‘Poonanny Longtime’ enable users to personalise a funny and subversive Valentine’s Day message.

‘I hate Valentine’s Day,’ says BuzzMyGoat founder Justin Wickham. ‘I’m fed-up with the contrived commercialism of romance we see every February. So BuzzMyGoat offers an antidote to the soppy sentimentalism we all hate but feel compelled to participate in. Expressing your affection is great, and we’d love you to use BuzzMyGoat to do it. But make your partner laugh, not cringe!’
