NEW IVA customers are now able to kick start their debt free life with a free BREAD Maestro card from IVA comparison site – and to help send them on their way to financial recovery it will be loaded with £50 credit.

“The prepaid BREAD card – which normally costs £10 – is a new breed of payment card, extremely useful for those who have found it difficult to control their spending to get used to living within their means,” says director Terry Balfour.
“Via an exclusive arrangement with Payment Card Solutions UK, we are now offering a free BREAD card with £50 credit to all new clients when their application for an IVA is approved by their creditors.”

“Kicking the habit of borrowing by using an IVA is a big step for our customers,” says Balfour.

“But having taken such a positive decision, they need all the help they can get to adjust their new approach to their finances.”

“Because IVA customers have restricted access to plastic which can be frustrating in these days of cash-free living – we are offering the BREAD card to overcome this difficulty but without the temptation to overspend because it is only possible to spend up to the credit balance on the card.

Unlike conventional credit cards that provide borrowers with a line of credit or debit cards that can have an overdraft facility, BREAD is available without the credit checks and works on the same principle as a pay-as-you-go mobile phone – users can top it up with cash and have their wages transferred to it.

“The package is an excellent way of keeping abreast of spending history and transactions while taking control over their spending habits. Card activity can be reviewed online 24/7 - no other cash card on the market offers this.

An IVA provides an alternative to the grim prospect of bankruptcy, which many see as the only way out. Settling debts with an IVA causes less damage to future credit rating and employment prospects and is less of a social stigma.

“Although an IVA doesn’t suit everybody’s situation, they are useful vehicles for those with some disposable monthly income – at least £180 - and a willingness to pay the creditors,” says Balfour.
“Our website, with its vast array of debt counselling firms, should be the first port of call for those looking for advice – all firms are reviewed by their clients so newcomers to can choose a company that knows what it is doing and can successfully act on their behalf.”
