RUSCOMBE, Berks. – 10 March 2008 – IDeaS, the leading provider of hospitality revenue management and optimization solutions, announces the IDeaS Revenue Optimization V5i version 3.2. The latest version of V5i features over 30 client-driven enhancements which benefit hotels’ decision-making processes and ultimately support a complete selling strategy. Specifically, IDeaS has worked directly with clients to enhance the Group Pricing Module, the Best Available Rate (BAR) Module, and added integration with Newmarket’s Delphi Sales & Catering systems.

In parallel, IDeaS has launched the New Hotel Service Success Package which enables new hotels within an estate to gain the benefits of using the IDeaS V5i solution at the earliest opportunity by leveraging budget data along with business patterns derived from like hotels.

The IDeaS V5i version 3.2 features the following new functionality:

• Group Pricing Module – building on the capabilities to quickly quote a group inquiry across multiple properties for a variety of arrival dates – the module now supports sophisticated “What If” analysis. This functionality allows users to model various scenarios when considering which group inquiry will return the greatest profit to the hotel.
• Best Available Rate (BAR) Module – as a result of working closely with several high profile IDeaS clients, an expanded data view has been added along with filtering capabilities to support exception management. This comprehensive view of the data supports a robust “strategic selling” approach.
• Sales & Catering Integration – provides the functionality to launch the Group Pricing Module from within the Newmarket Delphi product. The Group Pricing Module will be pre-populated with basic information about the group from the Newmarket system. This eliminates redundant data entry and allows a more seamless experience for users.
• Custom Reports – the creation of the Custom Report service is in direct response to client requests for IDeaS to create specialised reports yet make them available through the standard interface which supports automated scheduling and delivery via email. This service opens the door to an extraordinary range of report possibilities.

New Hotel Service Success Package
As many hoteliers continue to enjoy significant growth in the size of their hotel portfolios through the construction of new hotels and the acquisition of existing properties, IDeaS has developed the New Hotel Service Success Package to allow IDeaS V5i to be installed at the earliest opportunity.

Techniques include the ability to ‘clone’ the booking patterns from an existing hotel in the estate to an opening hotel or acquired property – this is then complimented with the budgetary projections for the hotel.

The booking patterns are used to estimate how business will materialise and behave, and the budgetary projections are used to forecast the volume and value of the demand. With these two main data elements, IDeaS V5i can provide Forecasts and Decisions even before the hotel opens.

The patterns exhibited in the first few months of a hotel’s operation are often quite volatile, as the true business patterns for the hotel emerge; the IDeaS Auto Correcting Forecasting feature modifies the ‘cloned’ information with the true data from the hotel.
