Online sales of adult items have tripled as cheeky Brits look to ensure 2008 is a year to remember. 27% of 2155 people asked said they have or would be buying a gift of an adult nature online this year.

The UK’s largest shoppers’ revenge website has revealed that nearly 30% of cheeky Brits are looking to spice up the cold pre-summer evenings this year by purchasing a gift of an adult nature.

By looking at the most common searches that brought people to their site, found that sales of an adult nature had tripled when compared to this time last year.

Speaking about the findings Mark Pearson, Managing Director said,

“The web team started reporting an increase in web traffic looking for adult related products and shops so we decided it would be fun to ask our existing clients about the sudden increase so we could understand if we needed to amend our site accordingly. I admit to being a little bit shocked that nearly 30% of people have, or are planning to buy a naughty gift this year for themselves or a loved one”.
