Coley Porter Bell South Africa is a joint venture between Coley Porter Bell London and Ogilvy South Africa. Vicky Bullen, CEO of CPB London assumes the role of worldwide CEO, with Tabatha King as Managing Director, CPB South Africa. King is joined by Creative Director Simon Andrew together with Mathew Weiss, formerly senior planner at CPB London, as Planning Director, CPB South Africa. Stephen Bell, Creative Director of CPB London becomes the Executive Creative Director, CPB South Africa. Both Bullen and Bell will play an active role within Coley Porter Bell South Africa, and there are plans for staff from both agencies to job swap in order to facilitate cross fertilisation of talent and ideas. Commenting on the new launch, Vicky Bullen said, “Coley Porter Bell is a very ambitious brand so I’m delighted we are spreading our geographic reach with this new venture in South Africa. It’s incredibly exciting to be launching in a market where design is still a relatively young discipline, knowing the potential of our impact, especially given South Africa’s economic growth. The creative industries are seen as key in contributing to the country’s economy, and benefit from government support, all good reasons for us to have a presence there. South Africa is a hot bed of creative talent and I’m confident we will deliver our promise of making brands beautiful and producing powerful and effective creative work for clients. With our mix of local and London talent we have a strong and experienced South African team headed by the very energetic and very capable Tabatha King, and I’m looking forward to a successful debut.” , Coley Porter Bell’s flexible, inclusive and utterly practical way of making abstract ideas come to life, its way of discovering a brand’s true beauty, will be at the heart of the offer in South Africa as it is in London. The agencies will share all proprietary credentials, tools and information across both geographies and intend to work together on projects. Coley Porter Bell South Africa will look to grow client business organically from Coley Porter Bell London’s international client base, and has already had considerable success in winning new business with live projects from KFC, BP and DSTV. ends For further information please contact; Rachel Brettler, Communications Manager, Coley Porter Bell – 020 7824 7756 email@example.com Notes to Editors Coley Porter Bell London is part of the Ogilvy Group in London and wholly owned by WPP Coley Porter Bell London is a strategic brand design agency which has produced award winning work for the likes of Kotex, Cadbury, innocent drinks, BP, Coco Cola, Tetra Pak and Nestle.
