NEW 2008 SEASON AT ROYAL WINDSOR RACECOURSE

Royal Windsor Racecourse announces the fixtures for its 2008 racing season which include popular favourites as well as exciting new initiatives for 2008 in the 26 meeting line-up. Ticket prices range from £8 to £22 with online booking discounts available at www.windsor-racecourse.co.uk and accompanied children 16 and under enter free.

The 2008 season gets off to a flying start with an afternoon’s racing on Monday 14th April followed by the first Monday Night racing of the season on 21st April and the first Family Fun Day of the year on Bank Holiday Monday (5th May) which will feature crowd-pleasing appearances from Bob the Builder and Wendy.

The first of our themed Monday Night Racing evenings is the all-new Australia Night on 2nd June which will feature live entertainment on the Paddock Green from Faye Richards and her amazing Kylie tribute act - guaranteed to have you ‘spinning-around’.

The themed fun continues with Irish Night (7th July) and Caribbean Night (11th August) while the favourite in the style stakes - Ladies Night (28th July) offers fabulous prizes for the best dressed ladies and guarantees an elegant Summer evening on the Paddock Lawn. The Totesport Festival Weekend (28th June - 30th June) offers some great flat racing and also appearances from Spongebob Squarepants and Dora The Explorer on the Family Fun Day (Sunday 29th June). The final Family Fun Day of the season (Sunday 10th August) will feature Fifi and Bumble from Fifi and the Flowertots.

At the amazing End of Season Extravaganza on Saturday 23rd August, reality TV start Tony Hadley, formerly of Spandau Ballet, will be performing after the evening’s exciting racing.

Monday Night Racing dates in 2008 are: 21st April; 28th April; 12th May; 19th May; 2nd June (Australia Night); 9th June; 16th June; 23rd June; 30th June; 7th July (Irish Night); 14th July; 21st July; 28th July (Ladies Night); 4th August; 11th August (Caribbean Night); and 18th August. Monday afternoon racing continues in the Autumn on the following dates: 29th September; 6th October; 13th October; and 20th October.
