New Service supports Hampshire Primary Care Trust drive for efficiency and best practice during business change

DATIX Ltd, a market leader in Patient Safety and Risk Management software, has announced the launch of its Risk Management Consultancy Service. The new service provides expert, practical help to administrators and users of DATIX software in the form of hands-on training and coaching. The move is a major step forward as it enables DATIX clients to benefit from a wide range of consultancy services to provide the skills and advice needed to achieve improvements in patient and staff safety that a DATIX implementation can help to deliver.

The DATIX Risk Management Consultancy Service provides expert, practical DATIX knowledge and skills to healthcare customers. In addition to training and coaching, DATIX’s experienced hands-on consultants can deliver health checks and fine-tuning of systems. This includes the reconfiguration of analysis codes, resulting in an improved ability to learn lessons from adverse events, as well as web form design allowing Trust staff to benefit from a quick and easy way to report incidents. The new service can also include advice and support for establishing risk registers, complaints processes and more, regardless of the size of the installation.

DATIX customers include over three quarters of the UK’s National Health Service, major healthcare organisations in Canada and some of the world's leading private healthcare providers.

The Risk Management Consultancy Service addresses the needs of organisations large and small. Susan Lawes, risk manager at Hampshire Primary Care Trust, the largest PCT in England said: “The new DATIX Risk Management Consultancy Service helped Hampshire PCT through a period of change. There are often changes in healthcare organisations, such as mergers and reorganisations and the new service meant that additional training was available to ensure continuity and consistency. We also found we benefited from access to DATIX consultants to help us achieve levels of best practice, which simply means we are sure we are getting the most from our systems.”

Daniel Hazan, general manager of DATIX said: “Feedback from our healthcare customers indicated a requirement for a new consultancy service, and we have responded to their needs. Our clients’ requirements change as their businesses evolve. This means they recognise the need to realign resources and in doing so maintain a consistent level of skill and best practice. Our new Risk Management Consultancy Service enables them to do this, empowering DATIX administrators and others to continue to get the very best out of the product.”
