Merridale’s switching module for fuelling mixed fleets. Thursday 1 May 2008 PDF Print Latest developments from Merridale is a switching module for commercial diesel pumps that will enable users to choose between either a high flow rate for fuelling lorries or a low flow rate, for smaller vehicles – such as 4x4s, estate cars and car-based vans. The device works by modulating the output of a standard high flow (90 litres minute) dispenser. As well as providing an option for new installations, the module can also be retrofitted to existing high flow commercial pumps. “Customers have asked us to provide this facility, to maximise their utilisation of in-house and depot fuelling facilities,” says Merridale sales and marketing director, Stephen Hannan. “Most fleet operators have a mix of vehicles, including company cars and service vans. Having invested in depot fuelling facilities, they want to ensure cost savings benefits are fully exploited. “The main advantage of the switching module is to make self-serve fuelling easier, and less wasteful, for office staff and other personnel, using company cars and vans.” For more information visit http://www.merridale.co.uk MIS Fuel Monitoring Ltd provides a total capability covering the design, manufacture, installation and support of the Merridale range of fuel management systems.
