House Wow! were given the task of restyling a 2 bedroom ground floor apartment in Harrogate. The owner needed to sell fast but was abroad so left it all for House Wow! to arrange & finish.

Our initial report recommended the following action:

“In the current difficult and slow market my initial research shows that within half a mile of the apartment’s postcode there are 96 properties for sale at Rightmove alone and 70 of these are apartments/flats. That’s a lot of stock and the house should be dressed to sell to a high standard to compete in the current market.”

House Wow! installed some replacement furniture and dressed to a high standard - total cost of £3,000 - When the property was ready to market it had 2 offers to buy within a few weeks and completed in 10 weeks close to the asking price of £325,000.

About Property Restyling

Spaciousness and light often determine the success of a styled home. Typically, the larger a room appears, the better it will seem to homebuyers. Dark, tight spaces create a poor impression and may prevent the home from selling. Furniture layouts should create an impression of openness and comfort. Non-essential items should be removed to minimize crowding and clutter. Opening curtains and blinds to let in natural light and turning on interior and exterior lights at nighttime are also simple but effective techniques.
