Spring Digital Ensures Big Catch For EFTTA Monday 2 June 2008 PDF Print European Fishing Tackle Trade Association Updates Its Database Systems London – 2nd June 2008 – Spring Digital is currently revamping The European Fishing Tackle Trade Association’s (EFTTA) membership and exhibition management system, making it more dynamic and flexible. EFTTA is also working with Spring on an online ticket printing system to enable faster registration at its 27th exhibition, EFTTEX – the biggest fishing exhibition this side of the Atlantic - which this year takes place in Rome from 13th to 15th June. Launched in London in 1981, EFTTA is the Trade Association for Manufacturers and Wholesalers of sportfishing equipment globally. Spring took over the management and support of its database in 2003, which are the underlying systems for EFTTA’s operations. Running on a bespoke Microsoft Access database, Spring advised EFTTA that due to legacy code, and the increased complexity of ad hoc bolt-ons the database was becoming less standardised and robust. This year Spring is replacing the system with a fresh .NET business application that is stable, modern and eliminates many of the old system’s redundant features.
