LONDON, July 11, 2008 – Camwood, the UK’s leading application migration and change specialist, this week shared the stage with Microsoft as it presented successful application migration case studies at the 2008 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) in Houston, Texas.

Frank Foxall, CEO at Camwood, took the stage at the Worldwide Partner Conference - an annual event attended by 12,000 Microsoft partners from around the world. The session, entitled “Windows Vista True Stories” highlighted the role of application compatibility testing in smoothing the way for successful migration to Windows Vista. Foxall drew on the real life customer success story of London Underground maintenance company, Tube Lines.

Foxall demonstrated to the audience how it has used its expertise to accelerate deployments of Windows Vista. Foxall explained: “Camwood’s ‘managing application change’ methodology enables organisations to reduce the cost, risk and time of transitioning their applications through planning, audit, rationalisation, compatibility, validation through to deployment on Windows Vista.” He continued: “The Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference has given us a platform to explain how Camwood assisted Tube Lines to assess and address the compatibility challenge of moving to Microsoft Vista, ultimately allowing it to enjoy the benefits of centralised management, enhanced security, easier access to information, along with significant cost savings and improved productivity.”
