Electronic online payslips are the smart way to deliver, store and retrieve pay data

Online payslips from Wealden help Automobile Association to make substantial savings and increase security by moving to paperless processes

Wealden Computing services has been selected from a number of companies by the AA to supply online payslips to its employees. With a drive to be more environmentally friendly, the AA has moved to the new system to provide payslips for its employees, saving paper and postage costs that equate to thousands of pounds a year. The organisation also hopes to improve its engagement with employees by providing individual payslips faster and more securely.

Following a review of several vendors, Wealden was selected as the most suitable to meet the AA’s needs due to its ability to interface to the company’s SAP payroll system. Phase one of the move to electronic payslips covers over 5,000 office-based staff, with rollout of phase two to the mobile workers. The AA has also reduced the number of duplicate payslips requested, that had either been lost in the post or in some cases been tampered with.

Hitesh Patel, Managing Director at Wealden said, “Electronic online payslips are the smart way to deliver, store and retrieve pay data. Whatever the size of an organisation, it can still benefit from the security and accessibility that online delivery of payslips offers, as well as the potential savings in efficiencies and print costs compared to traditional methods. Furthermore, what’s really unique about our solution is we are system-independent and can provide this service very easily across many payroll systems.”

Gary Lukehurst, Payroll and Benefits Manager at the AA, said; “As a large organisation and employer, environmental issues are very important to us. We saw an opportunity with the new technologies available, together with more people now using the internet at home, to move to electronic payslips, both to reduce paper usage and provide more secure notification. We can now ensure guaranteed delivery to our employees.”
