The DM Collaborators awarded Silver

Social media in particular is fast becoming our most common communication channel

Online Document Management community/blog, The DM Collaborators, secures LACP’s Spotlight award for Sarum PR and client EASY Software

Salisbury, UK – October 28th, 2014 – Boutique IT PR agency, Sarum PR has once again been recognised for its innovative, integrated and hard-hitting marketing and PR campaigns, this time securing a global communications award in the 2014 LACP (League of American Communication Professionals) Spotlight awards for the document management forum, The DM Collaborators.

Created with Sarum client, EASY Software UK, the DM Collaborators is a busy, collaborative, online community forum/blog for the Document Management (DM) industry. DM Collaborators celebrated its first year of operation in July 2014.

The LACP Spotlight Awards focus on highlighting and rewarding the best global PR and communication practices around the world. The judges awarded a Silver competition class winner position to the DM Collaborators blog (scoring 97 out of 100), placing it in the top 100 communication materials in 2014 and also recognising it with a Most Improved Honors award.

The DM Collaborators
The DM Collaborators online community, conceived and managed by Sarum for its client EASY Software, was started in July 2013 to provide a collaborative forum where industry experts can exchange ideas and opinions and comment authoritatively on current industry issues, stimulating debate and driving traffic to their own web sites. It is tremendously successful.

Featuring expert guest bloggers from around the world, the community forum offers a platform to discuss current and emerging issues in the market. Contributors include senior figures from industry body AIIM, independent journalists, and large as well as lesser-known DM technology suppliers.

Rich new content is being posted to the site all the time. Input from AIIM and the editor of DM Magazine in the UK boosts its sense of authority. Subjects covered through topical blogs range from mobile data capture, finance/payment efficiency, paperless enterprises, sustainability, data security, enterprise content management and ‘big data’.

The community forum presents a unique value-added opportunity for EASY’s industry partners, including Fujitsu, Cognite, Destiny Wireless, Touchstone FMS, DICOM Spigraph Group, and Document Manager Magazine. These organisations are invited to use the platform to publish thought leadership - raising their profile, drawing potential customers’ attention to topical issues, and driving traffic to their own web sites and blogs.

Speaking of the success, Carina Birt, founder of Sarum PR commented: “IT PR is changing all the time. Social media in particular is fast becoming our most common communication channel and content hub and this approach is the hallmark of Sarum PR. So it is especially rewarding to be recognised for our skills in using a social channel to underpin a very successful global PR and communications strategy.

We have worked with EASY Software for 14 years and we still continue to deliver hard-hitting, successful PR campaigns that blend traditional PR techniques with social media platforms to maximise their voice and brand awareness. Their confidence in us and our agile approach to PR continues to deliver the same great results now as when we first launched the UK company in 2000.”
