UK businesses are losing £1 Billion from ineffective Facilities Management Thursday 6 November 2014 PDF Print a fresh, strategic and transparent approach, so businesses can see tangible benefits, and extract the maximum value from FM solutions. - Organisations in both the public and private sectors could save themselves £120,000 on average - Salisbury Group says survey “demonstrates need for fresh, strategic and transparent approach to FM, so businesses can see tangible benefits.” A survey just published finds that over a quarter of organisations in the UK are wasting resources by failing to have effective facilities management. The survey of over 700 firms, ranging from small to large and across the public and private sectors, was conducted by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). It found that around 26% of organisations in the UK are still not taking a strategic approach when it comes to FM – a business discipline that involves the co-ordination of space, people, resources and property within an organisation. The RICS estimates that organisations using FM in a strategic capacity could be saving themselves as much as £120,000 on average. "This is far from a surprise to us; in fact if anything we believe it understates the actual waste of resources.” Says Ed Swales, CEO of Salisbury Group, recently launched as the UK’s Total Facilities Management provider committed to providing a fresh approach to the discipline. "We welcome the RICS survey as it underlines our core ethos that FM works best with a fresh, strategic and transparent approach, so businesses can see tangible benefits, and extract the maximum value from FM solutions. Last year Salisbury Group helped make savings for all its clients on their FM costs by adopting such a strategy.” Priding itself on being a new company but with established experience, Salisbury has built a nationwide platform with local management, technical resource and supply chain presence across all of the UK. Their vision is to be the UK’s leading integrated facilities management provider for commercial properties and as they already manage diverse property assets in every major town and city in the UK, they have the infrastructure and team to do just that. “Salisbury Group is dedicated to delivering uncompromising quality and service, to ensure customers’ working environments are well managed and secure, allowing staff and productivity to flourish.” Mr Swales concludes. --ENDS-- For more information contact Juliet Machan +44 (0) 7768 283074 email@example.com About Salisbury Group Salisbury Group is one of the UK’s leading providers of commercial property management solutions.
