Leading British ventilation manufacturer Vent-Axia is celebrating winning Product of the Year at the prestigious Housebuilder Awards 2014. Scooping the award for its revolutionary Lo-Carbon Responseβ„’ (dMEV) solution, the Sussex-based company received the accolade in London, at a glittering ceremony held at The Tower Hotel near Tower Bridge. This announcement follows hot on the heels of the Lo-Carbon Responseβ„’ winning the Best Brand New Product Award at the Housebuilder Product Awards 2014 in July.

Attended by some of the most influential names in the property sector, nearly 500 people came to hear comedy actor Stephen Mangan announce this year’s winners at the Housebuilder Awards. Judged by a distinguished panel of industry experts, the awards recognise innovation and excellence in housebuilding; a key factor as the UK moves towards zero carbon homes.

Following a rigorous judging process, Vent-Axia won the Product of the Year award for its pioneering Lo-Carbon Responseβ„’. Packed with innovative features the Response is a near silent, continuous running, constant volume decentralised Mechanical Ventilation (dMEV) solution. Designed for both new build and the social housing sector, the SAP Appendix Q listed Response is ideal for both kitchen and bathroom applications. Key to the product’s innovation is its ability to help housebuilders ensure optimum performance through its unique digital display that confirms airflow and system pressure of the installed product.

The display removes the need for testing on site, saving time and money by speeding up the installation process, helping housebuilders to ensure optimum performance and comply with Building Regulations

Offering an affordable high pressure ventilation solution which is more cost-effective and efficient than a comparable centrifugal fan the Response features a new silent higher pressure axial impellor. As a result, the Response can meet the high pressure requirements of many domestic installations without the need to use a centrifugal fan: a first. In addition, the Response also features Vent-Axia’s innovative datalogger helping landlords protect homes from condensation and mould.

Leading the way in UK ventilation Vent-Axia is also currently shortlisted for three other industry awards: the company’s innovative EKF Kitchen Box is a finalist in the esteemed CIBSE Building Performance Awards within its Energy Saving Product category; the prestigious Energy Awards where the fan has been nominated in the Energy Efficient Product of the Year HVAC&R category; and the HVR Awards where the fan is in the final line up within the Commercial Ventilation Product of the Year category.
