Swyx wins Red Herring 100 Global Award

Swyx embodies the vision, drive and innovation that define a successful entrepreneurial venture

German Unified Communications (UC) manufacturer now belongs to the worldwide top 100 companies with its highly innovative technologies and business models

Dortmund, 26. November 2014 - Swyx Solutions AG has been awarded the 2014 Red Herring 100 Global Award. CEO Ralf Ebbinghaus who accepted the award in person in Los Angeles, was particularly pleased to have won the prestigious prize acknowledging Swyx’s innovative business model and its ground-breaking market and product development in cloud services.

After receiving the Red Herring Top 100 Europe 2014 Award in April this year, this latest distinction at a global level represents an important milestone with regards to Swyx’s positioning as a worldwide leader of innovation and technology - not only in the field of Unified Communications (UC). Swyx was selected as one of only two German companies from over a hundred participants across North America, Asia and Europe.

“Choosing the companies with the strongest potential was by no means a small feat,” said Alex Vieux, publisher and CEO of Red Herring. “After rigorous contemplation and discussion, we narrowed our list down from hundreds of candidates from across the globe to the Top 100 Winners. We believe Swyx embodies the vision, drive and innovation that define a successful entrepreneurial venture Swyx should be proud of its accomplishment.”

Red Herring’s editorial staff evaluated the companies on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, such as financial performance, technology innovation, management quality, strategy, and market penetration. This assessment of potential is complemented by a review of the track records and standing of startups relative to their peers, allowing Red Herring to see past the “buzz” and make the list a valuable instrument of discovery and advocacy for the most promising new business models from around the world.

Ralf Ebbinghaus, CEO of Swyx, commented on the winning of this renowned prize:
“The fact that it was our technological and innovation potential and our business strategy that won over the jury, reinforces our commitment to further develop our solutions, to exploit and leverage the globalization of our strategy and hence offer our solutions to an even wider circle of customers. It also highlights that we are moving in the right direction – not only in terms of Unified Communications solutions but also with respect to our development of Over-the-Top (OTT) communications and Big Data to which we are responding with innovative products and solutions.”
