Consumers are now able to buy Ukash vouchers from stores across the UK

London, November 2014 – Ukash, the leading online cash payment provider, is partnering with leading UK retailer, WHSmith, to give consumers the ability to buy Ukash vouchers from 470 of its high street stores across the UK. The ground-breaking new agreement uses the power of the major high street brand and its strong retail network to extend awareness of Ukash as a payment option for those who want to shop online without using credit or debit cards.

Best known for newspapers, books and stationery, WHSmith’s partnership with Ukash forms part of its commitment to expand the products and services it offers consumers.

“WHSmith is a leading UK brand, with an extensive network of stores, making it the ideal partner for Ukash, as we continue to help more consumers use cash to pay online,” explains James Allum, Chief Commercial Officer at Ukash. “WHSmith is a name that consumers trust and by bringing Ukash into its stores we are raising awareness of our brand and increasing consumer choice for shopping and paying online.”

“WHSmith is one of the most recognised high street brands in the UK, because we continue to meet the needs of today’s consumers,” added Ian Sanders, WHSmith Group Business Development Director. “We are continually looking for new partnerships that will allow us to offer an even wider range of goods and services. Our partnership with Ukash forms a key part of that commitment to bringing more choice to our customers.”

Ukash enables consumers to use cash to pay safely and conveniently online by exchanging notes and coins for a voucher. Ukash vouchers can be used to pay for online shopping, get prepaid cards, buy gift cards, play online games such as poker and bingo or even to pay for Skype credit.

Now shoppers can pop into a local branch of WHSmith to convert their cash to a Ukash voucher. All a customer needs to do is request Ukash at any of the cash tills within the WHSmith high street branches. With no need for a bank account or credit card, Ukash is the safe, convenient and flexible way to pay online.
