Sunday 8 February 2015 PDF Print London – Sunday 8th February 2015, The LEGO® Group announces it is the year of the Ninja with a star-studded red carpet premiere, in London’s Leicester Square, for its forthcoming animated series, LEGO Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu: The Tournament of Element. The new series airs on Cartoon Network from 10th February 2015 at 6pm. In anticipation of the LEGO Ninjago movie spin-off in 2016 with executive producers and screenplay writers from The LEGO Movie, 500 competition winners and celebrity fans were treated to a sneak peak of the new show. Screenings were aired simultaneously up and down the country, broadcasting to over 1,000 people at the same time. Guests, including celebrities Denise Lewis, Edith Bowman, Amanda Lamb, Jasmine Guinness, Dominic Wood and their families showed off their best ninja moves down the flame lit red carpet. As well as being first in the country to see the new series, they were treated to an interactive Dojo arena experience with martial artists free runner displays, LEGO ninja-style building stations, face painters and LEGO Ninjago costume characters to greet the guests and crowds. The nationwide event included simultaneous screenings in Odeon cinemas in Birmingham, Bournemouth, Cardiff, Dublin and Manchester’s LEGOLAND Discovery Centre. Many fans came to the event dressed in full LEGO Ninjago costume - the red carpet was a sea of little ninja warriors!
