FIRST BMW i8 TO BE SOLD AT AUCTION Wednesday 18 February 2015 PDF Print Monday 23rd February, BCA Blackbushe bca.co.uk It’s one of the most desired cars on the planet with a two year waiting list and now the first BMW i8 to be sold at auction will be offered by BCA, the UK and Europe’s largest vehicle marketplace. The 64-registered BMW i8 will be offered in the Top Car Sale at BCA Blackbushe on Monday 23rd February. Demand for BMW’s hybrid supercar is so high that used models have been selling for hefty premiums over the list price of £99,845. The i8 blends the 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine from the Mini with an electric motor for a combined power output of 357bhp. Manufacturer figures suggest it will take 4.4 seconds to hit 62mph from a standing start, yet it has a battery-only range of 23 miles, which is enough to cut official CO2 figures to just 49g/km and qualify the i8 for exemption from London’s congestion charge. Finished in white with 20” Turbine alloy wheels, the specification includes air conditioning, Carpo Light white leather interior, navigation system, parking sensors, a Harman Kardon sound system and Surround View Cameras. The odometer is showing just 52 miles. BCA Blackbushe is located on the A30 between Camberley and Basingstoke with easy access from J4A of the M3.
